May 5, 2021 (Herndon, VA) – B3 Group Inc. is proud to welcome Andrew Underhill to the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Digital Transformation Center (DTC) Team as Chief Technologist. Andrew joins us from GovernmentCIO, where he served as Chief Technology Officer, and brings extensive Veterans Affairs’ solutions experience from his role as Chief Technologist at Systems Made Simple, a Leidos Company. Mr. Underhill has more than 20 years of experience spanning business development, solution development and professional services in the both the U.S. and Europe.
“As we continue to mature our DTC program, Andrew has the expertise from his previous roles to assist in helping to scale this project,” said Matthew Garvey, Vice President of Digital Services. “He comes to us at a critical juncture and will help the team make the right investments to help the VA reach their long-term objectives.”
Andrew is an advocate of meaningful change though Digital Services, Innovation, and Interoperability, a prior member of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI), Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), Health Level Seven (HL7), Digital Image Communication in Medicine (DICOM). Mr. Underhill holds a Masters’ Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University, studied Business and Management at the City of Bath College, Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Norton Radstock College, Communications and Engineering Drawing at Norton Hill Math and Computing College.
