April 24, 2020 (Herndon, VA) – B3 was awarded a new task order to provide the Atlanta Technology Center (ATC) with Information Technology (IT) services to include system administration, application enhancement support, database and web support. The 5-year $2.7M contract will provide technology services to several agencies and programs across the VA. The ATC is also the physical host of the former Region 6 National Data Center. The ATC requires a variety of IT services, processes, and procedures including, but not limited to, database administration pertaining to applications, system administration support of applications, application sustainment, and maintenance.
“The team is very excited about this new contract opportunity in Atlanta,” said Dwight Hunt, President/CEO. “Maintaining the quality technology services that the ATC provides results in the more timely care for our nation’s Veterans and their beneficiaries and that’s what we are all about here at B3.”
As part of VA Contact Modernization Center’s efforts, the OI&T selected the ATC to house the consolidated Veterans Crisis Line. This remains one of the highest visibility programs at VA as well as one of the most important for veterans. Chosen for its quality technology support, the ATC requires a team that works hand in hand with their VA counterparts to ensure a smooth transition in which customers are fully supported. The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OI&T), IT Operations and Services is to provide benefits and services to Veterans of the United States.
