September 10, 2020 (Herndon, VA) – B3 Group Inc., was recently awarded a $9M contract with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) for Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) Support Services to develop, implement, and maintain the VA data domains and database environments. Initially considered one of the largest clinical databases in the world, CDW now surpasses data volumes of over one trillion rows supporting approximately 65,000 users across the VA. B3 Group will also provide Business Intelligence (BI) project management services as the CDW data is being used by various internal VA BI programs.
“Due to VA being the country’s largest integrated health system, CDW is a central collection of databases that integrates key enterprise-wide clinical, administrative, and financial data,” said Brent Stockman, VP of Professional Services. “For more than three years, our team has been supporting the VA’s goal of having a unified view of data to make data-driven decisions and we will continue that progress.”
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Business Intelligence Service Line (BISL) mission is to provide its rapidly growing user base with self-service BI, enabling them to make decisions based upon their own queries and analyses. The CDW provides the data platform for nationwide BI analysis and reporting on VA health care data. VA provides health care for over 9 million veterans, serving them in over 172 medical centers and 1250 outpatient clinics.
